Meet the artist, Karina Blackwell

Karina Blackwell is a fiber artist based in Northern California. She is a disabled Black artist whose work turns yarn into bold, joyful, oversized art. Her hand crocheted burger ottoman earned a 3rd Place Ribbon at the 2025 California State Fair Fiber Arts Competition. Every ottoman she makes carries thousands of stitches and a lot of heart.
